St Margaret's at Hasbury Church of England Primary School is a thriving one form entry school with a long and successful history of serving generations of local families.

Visitors to the school say how struck they are by the caring and inclusive ethos of the School. We value all our children as individuals and want each of them to feel, whether they are from a background of faith or none, that they will be nurtured and cared for while learning here.

Our link with St Margaret's Church is really important to us. As a whole school community we value the times we come together as a school and church in acts of collective worship. Our children and families care deeply about other people and dig deep into their pockets each year to raise hundreds of pounds for our chosen charities.

Ms P Rogers (Head Teacher)
As a school and community we share common values that ensure our children grow to be wise and responsible citizens of the future: that we believe ability comes in all shapes and sizes; that gifts and talents are to be valued and celebrated; that we are fair in all we do; that wisdom is often more important than simply being clever; that showing kindness and consideration for others is a sign of strength of character, not a weakness, and that our souls need to be developed and nurtured as much as our brains and bodies. Above all, we share the belief that life is for living and that it is our precious duty to leave this world a better place for having been in it.

It is these values of caring for others, being fair and respecting difference that makes St Margaret's at Hasbury Church of England Primary School and its community so special. And it's why local people speak so warmly of this church school and the education it has provided for over one hundred years.

Our Learning Principles

Christian Values

Supported and guided by the Christian values and principles that underpin all of our work here, we want every child from a background of faith, or none to know they will be nurtured, valued and cared for.

Needs of the Child

We want to be able to meet different learning needs of each child here so that they can confidently face the challenges and complexities of a rapidly changing world.

Responsibilities

It is our responsibility to find, support and develop the unique gifts and talents that all children possess, through an inclusive education that enables them to progress and flourish as learners.

Wisdom and Courage

We want every child to leave this school having begun a learning journey that will give them the wisdom and courage to believe they can make a difference, not only to their own lives, but also the lives of others in whatever direction their future learning takes them.
